Belgorod

 

Belgorod is an old and beautiful city. Its history is bound up with the history of Russia. The first mention of Belgorod can be found in the Russian chronicles dated back to the 16th century. It was founded in 1596. Since that time it has become larger and larger.

During the Great Patriotic War fascist invaders burned, blasted and bombed it using the powerful artillery. The Kursk Bulge Memorial situated not far from Belgorod is devoted to the heroic defence of the city during the war. After the war Belgorod has risen from under the heaps of ruins and now it is young and beautiful.

Belgorod is an important industrial and cultural centre of Russia. At present its population is about 400,000 people. It is the centre of the Belgorod region.

Belgorod is a very green city. Everybody likes its abundance of trees and flowers in avenues, public gardens and parks, just in streets near residential blocks of flats. There are many places of interest in Belgorod, such as Revolution Square, the Kursk Bulge Diorama, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Museum of Local Lore, the Lenin Park, the monument to M. Schepkin, beautiful churches and other.

Today Belgorod is a large industrial city of Russia. There are many plants and factories in it. The trademarks of Belgorod can be seen on machine-tools, boilers, power equipment, radio receivers, cement, various metal structures, chemical products, medicines, canned food and others.

Belgorod is also a city of science. It has many research institutes and six higher education institutions. The city has rich cultural traditions. There are many cinemas, libraries, places of culture and Sport in it. In the centre of Revolution Square there is a Schepkin Drama Theatre which is very popular with theatre¬goers. Children like to go to the Puppet-Show Theatre. A lot of writers, poets, artists, scientists, engineers and doctors live and work here.

The city of Belgorod honours its past and is full of creative effort and vitality. We are proud of it.

Белгород - старый и красивый город. Его история перевязана с историей России. Первое упоминание о Белгороде может быть найдено в российских хрониках, относился ко времени 16-ого столетия. В 1596 это было основано. С этого времени это стало большим и большим.

Во время Великих Патриотических военных захватчиков фашиста, которых, сожженных, взорванных и бомбят это использующий сильную артиллерию. Курский Мемориал Выпуклости, расположенный недалеко от Белгорода, посвящен героической защите города во время войны. После войны Белгород повысился из-под куч руин, и теперь это молодо и красиво.

Белгород - важный индустриальный и культурный центр России. В настоящее время его население - приблизительно 400 000 человек. Это - центр Белгородской области.

Белгород - очень зеленый город. Всем нравится его изобилие деревьев и цветов в авеню, общественных садах и парках, только на улицах около жилых многоквартирных домов. Есть много достопримечательностей в Белгороде, таких как Квадрат Революции, Курская Диорама Выпуклости, Музей изобразительных искусств, Музей Местных Знаний, Парка Ленина, памятника М. Schepkin, красивые церкви и другой.

Сегодня Белгород - большой индустриальный город России. Есть много заводов и фабрик в этом. Торговые марки Белгорода могут быть замечены на станках, котлах, оборудовании власти, радио-приемниках, цементе, различных металлических структурах, химических продуктах, лекарствах, консервах и других.

Белгород - также город науки. У этого есть много научно-исследовательских институтов и шесть учреждений высшего образования. У города есть богатые культурные традиции. Есть много кино, библиотек, мест культуры и Спорта в ней. В центре Квадрата Революции есть Театр Драмы Schepkin, который очень нравится театралам¬. Детям нравится идти в Театр Кукольного представления. Много авторов, поэтов, художников, ученых, инженеров и докторов живет и работа здесь.

Город Белгород соблюдает свое прошлое и полон творческого усилия и живучести. Мы гордимся этим.
